NCET’s Governor’s Cup Winner Goes Regional!

Exciting news about TIKI ICE, a winner of the 2010 Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup Collegiate Business Plan Competition.

Their delicious, healthy, all natural frozen fruit ices – in addition to currently being available by the pint at all Las Vegas area Whole Foods Markets – will also be available for sale at southern California and Nevada Albertsons Tiki 2010 3stores.

This means that TIKI ICE will be available in a few short months at 250 stores in all!

Tiki Ice goes from Governor’s Cup to growing startup

imageJean Bridges and Robert Bateman didn’t come up with a high-tech, costly business model to impress the judges when they competed in the 2010 Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup.

To compete in the business plan competition for college students, the future entrepreneurs instead developed a plan to make all-natural Italian ices in colorful packaging and sell the healthy treats at a small stand.

They also came up with a catchy name: Tiki Ice.

The simplicity of their business model made Tiki Ice turnkey ready. Last summer the partners opened a stand in the popular Town Square shopping center. And in March they started selling packaged Tiki Ice in Southern Nevada Whole Foods Markets.

Exciting news! — our delicious, healthy, all natural frozen fruit ices are being sold NOW by the pint at all Las Vegas area Whole Foods Markets!  The pints are flying off the shelves . . you can find our delicious Mixed Berry, Piña Colada, Lemon-Lime and Mango flavored fruit ices in all Whole Foods Markets.  Stock up on pints for your freezer, and enjoy them as an anytime healthy treat, a kid-favorite dessert, or a great drink mixer!!

If you are receiving this newsletter, chances are you’ve tried our delicious frozen fruit ices at our tiki hut in Town Square Las Vegas shopping center (located just in front of the kids’ play area).  We are happy to announce that we are back for a 2nd Summer season (Summer 2011), beginning June 3!  Check out all of our delicious standard flavors as well as brand new recipes!  We offer eight – ten flavors at any given time at our TIKI ICE tiki hut.  Take a break from the intense summer heat with a delicious, healthy & refreshing fruit ice . . as mist hits you from the kids waterpark / play area.  Look for fun Town Square events like weekly Thursday movies in the square (during which we offer specials), as well as other specials, on our Facebook page.  Happy Summer!
